When the snow is falling and the temperatures are dropping, we love to turn up the heat by whipping up one of our favorite comfort foods – Chicken Tikka Masala! It is easy to make and there is nothing like that creamy sauce over basmati rice to tempt your tastebuds.
This is our first installment of Love Glitter Girl – Cooks! and it shows – LOL. I had grand visions of fancy editing (hence my head being cut off on the first few minutes of the video) but I am not quite there yet. However, we are keeping it real, girls, so posting anyway. All of these installments will be 15 minutes or less as we know you are busy! C
Now, I know Ina, the Barefoot Contessa and one of my all-time favorites, believes in measuring to the tee. In the Afshary house, we tend to be a bit less precise and on this recipe, we encourage you to play around with it. Like things creamier? Add more cream. A little less heat? Less pepper. Like less sauce? Cut the sauce down by 1/4 to 1/2. Have fun with it! It really won’t alter the recipe too much by making a few tweaks and it will match your family’s tastebuds!
And, just a couple of notes from the video; this recipe was adapted from one on allrecipes.com. We have adapted it based on our tastes; for example, when we double most items and the recipe here is reflective of that (no need to double this recipe).
Also, we spent about $20 on this recipe using organic, free-range chicken (on sale at Kroger stores) and coupons from Ibotta We actually got three dinners out of this for a family of three so about $2.25 per person.

We hope you enjoy Love Glitter Girl – Cooks. Is there something you would like us to make? Leave a comment and we will whip it up.
Enjoy! Bon Appetit! Nush-e-Jan! Buon Appetito! Guten Appetit! Buen Appetito! Kripyā Bhojan Kā Annaṅd Lijīyai!
