Hey Glitter Girls,
A few years ago when I was putting together my capsule wardrobe for Europe, I stumbled across Thred Up, an online consignment retailer. I bought a few classic pieces from J. Crew, Anthropologie, and Banana Republic. I have gone back to them over the years, and continue to be pleased with my purchases.
So, I was super excited when a special little treat arrived in my Inbox – an invitation to have them curate a Goody Box just for me based on my style preferences for, you heard it right, $10?!? Sign me up, sister! And, within 10 tens days, I received this amazing surprise!!
One of the secrets to the subscription box business is to not make any decisions while you you are unboxing. Instead, haul the items up to your closet and start playing dress up. You will be surprised with what you end up loving!

There was only one piece – the wine colored lace tunic blouse – that just could not work for me. So, 90% of it was right on point!! I don’t think I have ever gotten a box where 90% was a winner. And, here is the good part – if you spend $75 on items (which is way BELOW retail as you will note below), you receive that $10 as credit towards a future purchase! So, basically your styling fee becomes free! And, if say, you only keep one item, well, you still got a bargain with the $10 added on as all of these items are at 50-75% or more below retail.

I encourage you to head on over to Thred Up and get your Goody Box today! They are giving you $10 off for new customers by using this link. This is not a subscription box so you order whenever you want. And, if you don’t want to worry about your style profile so much, they have several themed boxes you can pick. I will be ordering another soon for both myself and Eva!
Curious about what I kept? My ultimate favorite was the Saks White Sweater followed by the Banana Republic Kate Spade-esque bow sweater and although the pics don’t give it justice, the Banana Republic Striped dress. I also loved the Wine colored dress, Michael Stars White Peasant blouse, the Fuschia one-shoulder dress and the Blue and Brown Print blouse but – I could not keep everything and those matched too closely with other things in my closet. I think Thred Up hit a home run on this, and honestly, we will be ordering again in the next few weeks as Spring Break is right around the corner and Disney World, here we come.
Drink up, Glitter Girls and Happy Shopping!
xo,
Hilary
P.S. As a blogger, I would so appreciate you using my referral link in this post if you decide to order. All of the proceeds I receive for the 2019 calendar year will go back to offering promotions to you such as gift card drawings, incentives and more. This post was not sponsored by Thred Up and all opinions are my own.
Sister, I LOVED watching your unboxing! I felt like I was sitting in your living room with you 🙂 And great finds – love that one-shoulder pink dress.
